Administrative Assistant / Receptionist (Actively Hiring) VIEW DETAILS

Job description

Our team seeks a dependable, experienced Administrative Assistant to handle our sign production office and upper management tasks. Daily duties include a wide variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to, phone answering, customer service, order entry, data entry and filing, production scheduling, and more. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated team player.


We offer 40 hours per week and a competitive hourly rate with the potential for benefits after a probationary period.

Admin Responsibilities:

• Serve as point of contact for Sign Director and Sales Team

• Answer phones and direct customers to the appropriate departments

• Generate work orders, emails, and reports when necessary

• Generate sign applications and sign permitting with municipalities

• Actively log and track the jobs of our Sign Department

• Assist with various clerical duties as required by the team

• Maintain filing systems

• Purchase material stock needed for multiple divisions

• Run credit cards and keep detailed records of customer sales

• Assist in the scheduling of jobs and monitoring overall workload


Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Accustomed to working on strict deadlines and possess strong follow-up skills

• Experience dealing directly with customers and a considerate and professional attitude

• Exceptional organization skills, communication skills (both verbal and written), time management skills, and interpersonal skills are a MUST

• Multi-tasking and understanding the prioritization of tasks

• Detail-oriented but maintains high levels of flexibility

Sign Installer / Sign Service Tech VIEW DETAILS

Roeda Inc. has been producing signs and graphics for over 65 years in the south suburbs of Chicago. We consult, design, manufacture, install and service all types of signage. The ideal candidate should have two years of sign industry or service electrician experience and want to make a career as a sign installer or sign specialist. 

What you will do: 

The ideal candidate will work in our sign department, installing signs of all kinds, illuminated letters, and cabinets on building faces, poles, and interior walls. You will install new signs and service existing signs. You will also fabricate metal signs and letters, install LED components, paint posts, work with cc routers, and mount vinyl graphics to signs when not installing. 

Job Requirements Include:

• 2+ years of sign installation or electrician experience. 

• Hard working, conscientious, energetic, self-motivated, and attentive to detail. 

• Valid Drivers license with the ability to pass a driving background check. 

• Likes working with hands and working outdoors in all seasons, if required. 

• Can work at heights of 35'-55'ft above ground in a bucket. 

• Ability to climb up and down ladders and lift 50 lbs. 

• Knowledge of electricity is a plus. (LED, Neon, HO, HID lamps). 

• Likes building and fabricating, works well with hand tools, and has an eye for detail. 

• Prep and paint various substrates, i.e., wood, metal, plastics, and aluminum. 

• Takes instruction well and works well with a team or independently. 

• Ability to be outdoors for a majority of the work day.

Graphic Production Specialist VIEW DETAILS

Roeda, Inc. is a visual graphics producer, in one prominent location in the south suburbs of Chicago, with multiple divisions. The position available is for a talented graphic specialist with preferred experience running wide format printers or a wide format print specialist with preferred expertise in understanding graphic design. 

Roeda, Inc. has produced visual and vehicle graphics for over 65 years. A third generation with more than 32 employees. We have a great staff of artists, production specialists, fabricators, and installers, and our team is growing. The right candidate likes design, computers, wide format printers, producing 'wow' graphics, enjoys people and teamwork, and enjoys a faster pace in a work environment. 


Duties include: 

• Preflight incoming artwork, make design corrections when needed, create new artwork, get art approvals  

• Application of vinyl graphics on vehicles and signs 

• Downloading files and ripping files to various roll-to-roll printers and flatbed printers. 

• Load materials onto printers (may require some heavy lifting) 

• Operate multiple roll-to-roll printers (from 60" to 126"), operate a (4'ft x 8'ft) flatbed printer, and operate laminators and pole pocket welding equipment. 

• Maintain all print equipment and computers to ensure they run correctly. 

• Trouble-shoot basic equipment issues. 

• Track all consumables needed, request P.O.s, and manage efficient workflow with other team members. 

• Finishing production on all printed graphics, laminating graphics, applying to various substrates, finishing banners & displays, and applying vinyl cut graphics.  

 

Job Requirements Include:

• At least one year of experience working on wide format printers or two years as a Graphic Artist for a print or sign shop. 

• Experience with vinyl plotters 

• Application of vehicle graphics and wraps 

• Must be creative and experienced in Adobe suite. 

• Must be attentive to detail, desire to learn, reliable, and a multitasker.

Project Manager - Signs VIEW DETAILS

Job description

Roeda, Inc. is a leading sign and graphics provider for the Chicagoland and NW Indiana communities. We design, print, and apply vehicle fleet graphics and wraps and fabricate and install illuminated signs, channel letters, electronic messaging center signs, wayfinding signs and monument signs. General Purpose of Position:

The primary role of the Project Manager for Signs is to serve as the lead internal contact for customers and all workflow related to their graphics project. Ensure that customers projects and job orders are successful from order placement to lead time expectations. Coordinate with designers, print operators and production specialists to make sure that the sign or graphic job is done right, on time and within budget. They will also manage the Permit stage of all large sign projects, working with municipalities, insurance companies and utility companies.


Responsibilities:

• Meet with customers and clearly communicate and document graphic customer requests.

• Coordinate all processes, ensuring no conflicts with the time, space, material, and people. Manage the workflow of customer orders with clear and concise understanding under occasional tight deadlines.

• Build and maintain relationships with customers and the Roeda team.

• Coordinate and manage all materials with ordering and purchasing, guaranteeing all product is available when needed.

• Work closely with the Sales team, Sign Director, and Administration, verifying pricing, product availability, and work schedule.

• Assist with deposit requirements, permitting, and approval of invoicing.

• Maintain accurate and detailed notes and records.

• Demonstrate strong organizational skills.

• Demonstrate comprehension of graphic specifications and applications to electronic artwork.

• Demonstrate skills in organizing, problem-solving, planning, implementing, prioritizing, and executing.

• Type and Send out all Proposals and write up all Sign orders.


General Requirements:

• A college Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 5 years of job-related experience.

• Proficient in keyboarding/typing, including managing a high volume of email correspondence.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and very attentive to detail.

• Detail oriented and accountable for the accuracy of the information provided to customers.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with a proven ability to learn new software programs.

• Good general math skills.

We print decals, signs, banners, and vehicle graphics for local and national industries.
